I hate excite now. I had an excite account since its inception but now it’s frustrating and brutal. New blitz of ads on every click, unbearable load time to open an email, extremely slow receipt of new emails. It truly SUCKS like a black hole and is only getting worse. Latest today is I’m now unable to log in.

I would kill to have my old Excite mail back. Instead, I’ve just started moving everything over to Gmail. Excite now takes forever to load, forever to check, and forever just to delete. I despise it, and can’t wait until I don’t need it anymore. Worst attempt at fixing something not broken ever.

The old excite mail was pretty decent. It had a simple interface, was pretty fast and looked neat. The new one is incredibly slow. The obvious reason why excite did this is to bring about a similar interface to that of yahoo. May I say, yahoo’s new style is not great either?

I don’t know what’s up with all e-mail services bringing about new interfaces similar to that of Yahoo! Gmail and AOL are the only ones who have left it simple. Hotmail made the drastic mistake of copying yahoo’s idea and then changed to a new interface now which is a lot better. I hope Excite realizes it was foolhardy to do what it did.

No one needs one gig storage, no one stores thousands of e-mails in their inboxes. No one normal anyway. So, we really don’t want what Gmail offers – 7 gig. What we need is a simple looking, easy to use free e-mail service with preferably more than 25 meg space or so. Not what we get right now – a slow odd looking interface with gazillion gigabytes space.

I’ve been using it even longer. When I sign up for a newspaper account or something, and am supposed to get a response to click on to verify it, it takes like a day to get to my mailbox. What iz up with dat? It’s f’d.

Clifton ,mate..they lose THE game all ready.For me personally C.S ,excite suck!.I will tell U interesting story Cliff .My email box just gone ,just like that,what should I do now??All my contacts ,all data,few good years of my life is GONE.I still have a hope, to get my priceless DATA back,even now -3rd weekend without email box access.I still believe ..But what if Im wrong?,what then?..Write several letter to our brilliant excite C.Support?? Go to small court ??Waste more of my time ? Sometimes I really hate everything.That or another way -I have been kicked in the ass by excite.UK ,so now ,because there is no action without reaction Ill kick them back with regards in the balls.Caution everybody .Excite.co.uk SUUUUUUCK

The new Excite email system has not improved at all and after all of these months of user complaints they have not addressed this issue one bit.
Obviously, they do not care what we think or what we want. If we all stop using their service, then they will see the problem, not until it hits their income will it be resolved. I suggest we all just cancel our accounts until it is resolved and boycott all of their other sites as well!!!
